While still grieving, she discovered that the home she shares with her daughter is severely contaminated with mold — so unsafe that her daughter has had to move in with friends. What began as a mold remediation project has grown far more costly: the work also requires asbestos abatement, pushing the price well beyond her reach. Your donation will help fund the remediation, abatement, and restoration work she needs to make her home safe again — and to bring her daughter back under her own roof.

A family of 8 with a baby on the way this fall! Living in a generational home in Wailuku, Maui they sustained serious damage through the roof and flash flooding that came through their doors. This family is in need of your support to rebuild their entire bottom level of the home and roof and deck. The project is complicated because they haven't been remediated yet so they are living with their sweet young family in moldy conditions.
