OHANA RESTORE was born in answer to the natural disaster Hawaiian Ohana sustained — a mission to bring families home and the world together in support. Lisa leads with transparency and a steady hand, walking alongside families through their hardest moments and rallying the Aloha spirit that reminds us we are made to take care of one another in times of need.

Lisa is the founder of Ohana Restore, a company that coordinates every part of a family’s recovery. Hawaiʻi is where we started. The model is built for families anywhere. With eleven years of experience in real estate and new construction, Lisa has deep expertise in home design and working collaboratively with builders — skills that directly inform her approach to community rebuilding.
As a former mayor of New Plymouth, Idaho, she demonstrated her unwavering commitment to transparency and accountability, uncovering embezzlement and implementing systems that protected community trust. Those same principles guide Ohana Restore today, ensuring every dollar contributors give reaches families and builders with complete visibility and integrity.
As a high-performance leadership coach and trauma-informed coach, Lisa brings a nuanced understanding of family systems and the emotional journey of recovery. Her combination of practical construction knowledge, proven leadership integrity, and deep compassion for human healing makes her uniquely positioned to guide families through restoration.

Ohana Restore was built on the belief that transparency creates an environment for success — and that people would be more willing to contribute when they can do so with confidence. So she built a system to create confidence to contribute.
When you contribute, your gift joins a recovery package. Contributions are pooled by region and applied to each family’s recovery package, phase by phase. Funds are held by La Mesa Village Association, a licensed fund-control company, and paid to contractors through Sekady only after the homeowner, the contractor, and La Mesa approve the work.

For families: the overwhelm of rebuilding your home is reduced. We walk you through the process from bid to rebuild, and you have full confidence the work will be completed so you can be safely home.
For contractors: you can have confidence you will be paid for the work you perform, paid through Sekady, through a clear and documented process that protects you at every stage.
Run like a city
Ohana Restore Global runs the way a well-run city does. Our fees pay our staff and administration, our insurance, and our base costs. Beyond that, we reinvest a share of our profits into the communities we serve and the programs that lift them up. One of the first: bringing the Center for Mind-Body Medicine’s skills groups into schools. We also stand with the families who don’t fit neatly inside the box of standard approval. Those families get a path forward too.
