Meet Lisa.
OHANA RESTORE was born in answer to the natural disaster Hawaiian Ohana sustained — a mission to bring families home and the world together in support. Lisa leads with transparency and a steady hand, walking alongside families through their hardest moments and rallying the Aloha spirit that reminds us we are made to take care of one another in times of need.

Why Ohana Restore exists.
Lisa is the founder of Ohana Restore, a collaborative initiative that partners with nonprofits to raise funds and coordinate rebuilding efforts for families impacted by the devastating 2026 floods in Hawai‘i. With eleven years of experience in real estate and new construction, Lisa has deep expertise in home design and working collaboratively with builders — skills that directly inform her approach to community rebuilding.
As a former mayor of New Plymouth, Idaho, she demonstrated her unwavering commitment to transparency and accountability, uncovering embezzlement and implementing systems that protected community trust. Those same principles guide Ohana Restore today, ensuring every dollar donors contribute reaches families and builders with complete visibility and integrity.
As a high-performance leadership coach and trauma-informed coach, Lisa brings a nuanced understanding of family systems and the emotional journey of recovery. Her combination of practical construction knowledge, proven leadership integrity, and deep compassion for human healing makes her uniquely positioned to guide families through restoration.
Every dollar, traceable.
Every family, accounted for.
Ohana Restore was built on the belief that transparency creates an environment for success — and that people would be more willing to donate when they can do so with confidence. So she built a system to create confidence to donate.
When you donate through the Ohana Restore registry, you fund specific building materials tied to one family’s name — with confidence it will move from funded to installed to restore an ohana’s home. Every draw requires three approvals before money releases. No single party moves funds alone — homeowner, contractor, and non-profit representative all approve draw requests. It works the way a lending institution works between a contractor and a homeowner — a built-in check-and-balance system that creates security for everyone it touches.
For donors:you choose exactly where your support goes — with confidence it makes it there. Every dollar is tied to materials for a specific family, tracked from the moment you give to the moment it’s installed, with three-party approval at every step so nothing moves without accountability.
For families: the overwhelm of rebuilding your home is reduced. We walk you through the process from bid to rebuild, and you have full confidence the work will be completed so you can be safely home.
For contractors: you can have confidence you will be paid for the work you perform, through a clear and documented process that protects you at every stage.
Help us bring an ohana home.
Whether you’re a donor, a builder, a partner organization, or a family in need — there’s a place for you here.
