These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the website and services of Ohana Restore, LLC (“Ohana Restore,” “we,” “us”). By using our site, applying for help, donating, or working with us, you agree to these Terms. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are
Ohana Restore coordinates the restoration of homes for Hawaiʻi families affected by disaster, working with donors, contractors, partner organizations, and our fiscal sponsor. We operate in fiscal partnership with a nonprofit 501(c)(3).
2. Using our services
When you use our services, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete information and keep it up to date.
- Use the site only for lawful purposes and not to disrupt, misuse, or gain unauthorized access to it.
- Keep any account credentials secure and be responsible for activity under your account.
3. Applications and eligibility
Submitting an application does not guarantee assistance. We review each request for need and eligibility and may verify the information provided, including property ownership. Decisions about which families we can help are made at our discretion and depend on available funding and resources.
4. Donations
Donations support our mission of restoring families to their homes. We use reasonable efforts to direct gifts as intended, but we may apply funds where the need is greatest to carry out our charitable purpose. Unless stated otherwise, donations are non-refundable. Consult your tax advisor regarding deductibility; we will provide appropriate acknowledgment of your gift.
5. Contractors and partners
Contractors and partners are independent parties, not employees or agents of Ohana Restore. Any work you agree to perform must meet applicable licensing, permitting, and quality standards. Bids, invoices, and progress updates you submit must be truthful and accurate.
6. Content and intellectual property
The Ohana Restore name, logo, text, and design are owned by us or our licensors and may not be used without permission. If you submit content such as photos or stories, you grant us permission to use it to carry out and promote our mission, consistent with our Privacy Policy.
